AVK Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Hi,I am new to this site and looking for help on identifying Boston hotels posted on Hotwire. My travel dates are 6/20/09 - 6/27/09. Preferred star rating 4 or better. I am looking for a hotel in Boston Common - Theater District. Hotwire shows a 4* hotel in the area priced at $179 per night It said it is rated on TripAdvisor as a 4* based on 280+ reviews. I tried to identify it and thought maybe it is Lenox. I would appreciate any help. Unfortunately I didn't copy the amenities before my session expired and now this hotel doesn't come up in the new search.Another hotel that came up in a nearby district - Quincy Market-Financial District that looked interesting had a 4.5* rating, a $136 rate per night and the following area descriptionthe following amenities were listed: Fitness Center. Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Spa Services, (Smoke Free).any idea what these hotels are? or any other suggestions?thanks!
thereuare Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 If the 4* property no longer appears it's not currently bookable, so we won't be able to research that one, especially wihtout knowing the amenities. If you go back to HOTWIRE and redo your search, does the 4.5* Quincy Market property also show a Smoke Free icon? If not, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the defaults 2adults/0children?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. AVK Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 the 4.5* Quincy Market property does show a Smoke Free icon and I am searching for 1 room (1 audult with 2 kids)it also shows a 4* Copley Square property for $145 a night and shows same amenities as for the 4.5* in Quincy Market; rated 4 out of 5 on Trip advisor based on 260+ reviews.
thereuare Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Best guess for the 4.5* is the Langham or the Inter-Continental... both have been seen with this amenity combination. The 4* is a match for the Westin Copley Place so that would be my best guess for that one. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know which you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. AVK Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 thanks, still trying to decide which area is best....hotel reviews for all three are favorable, but each has some recent poor reviews...location seems important for sightseeing
AVK Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 the 4.5* at Quincy Market - Financial District was InterContinental, successfully booked at $136 per night via the HOTWIRE link you provided. I am happy with the results. Thanks for the help.
