ktlady Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 I have a question about bidding for a Resort in Wailea. The Priceline Hotel List shows Maui Prince as being a resort level hotel, similar to Wailea Marriott. However, the reviews I have read on TripAdvisor aren't particularly glowing. Additionally, I've read a couple threads on here that talk about adding star levels to try to win the Maui Prince property. I'm confused. Is Maui Prince 4-star now? Or still Resort?I saw recent wins for our dates (7/11-7/16) at the Wailea Marriott, which I'd love to get; however, I'm not sure I'm willing to risk ending up at the Maui Prince. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
thereuare Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! As per the Priceline Hotel List the Maui Prince and the Wailiea Marriott are both rated "resort" class by PRICELINE (as is the Renaissance)If there is a hotel you're try to target, or avoid, HOTWIRE may be a good soluation as you can often take an educated guess as to what you may likely receive before your purchase based upon the amenities associated with the property offered. If you do a HOTWIRE search for your dates does anything show up of interested within your budget? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. ktlady Posted June 9, 2009 Author Report Posted June 9, 2009 Thanks. Nothing shows up at our star level for HOTWIRE, other than a condo, but we'd prefer a resort. I'll keep watching HOTWIRE. Thanks.
