Hotwire Hotel: 4* Ft Lauderdale (Beach) Westin Beach Resort

Hi All;

I have read the posts and I am pretty sure that I know what the 4* hotel is but am trying to be extra careful.

I am a solo female traveller and want to make sure I get everything as I expect as I will be alone and don't need the stress :)

I am sort of new to Hotwire but have been trying to do research so I think I have narrowed my search.

This is what I am debating between: Stay from June 25/09 - June 28/09 (3 nights)

3-star hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach Area for $61/night offers

>Pool(s)

>Restaurant(s)

>Business Center

>Laundry facilities

>High speed internet access

4-star hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach Area

>Resort

>Oceanfront

>Smoke-free rooms

The 3* shows a TA rating of 3 out of 5 but I don't know what that really means, nor what the hotels are they are reviewing.

Anyway, long post ... I know, sorry :o. But any information you can provide would truly help put my mind (and my worried dad's :) ) at ease.

Thanks for responding. I did what you asked, and yes, there were more amenities listed for the 4* only ...

In addition to what I posted above, it includes;

The 4* is a match for the Westin Beach Resort while the 3* is a match for the Ocean Sky Resort so that would be our best guess for each.

Thank you so much for the info! It is VERY helpful ... and I will definitely use this forum more often. After reading the TA reviews for the Ocean Sky, I think I am going to go for the 4* ...

Just wanted to let you know that I booked my hotel on Hotwire ... a small change to the dates (July 2 -July 6; 4 nights).

Your knowledge and assistance was so helpful ... and BANG ON!! It was the Westin Beach Resort, rate of $84/night!
