spotto11
G'day folks,I'm from Australia and wish to use priceline for the first time? However, it doesn't come up with any international selections during the registration process. Is this going to be a problme for me? Can anyone help me, please?Cheers,Scott. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Give this thread a read: PRICELINE CANADA... it was written for Canadians but applies equally to any non-US resident. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Ozzie
G'day! (yes, we really do greet people like that!),Just wondering if any other Aussies have succesfully used the tips in the Canadian thread about using a foreign credit card?Or if there was any updates us foreigners should know about?I'm coming to Canada in March, and was hoping to use Priceline to get me some cheap little side-trips to Vegas etc.I can't see the Australian Priceline opening up anytime soon, the domain is already taken by a big pharmacy chain over here! www.priceline.com.au (love the forum, have recommended to a lot of mates already) Link to comment
Ozzie
OK, I used travelaxe to check prices on flights from Vancouver to Hawaii (cos you cant book a flight departing outside US on Priceline) and found a doozy for only $300 - way way cheaper than a one way flight from the airline sites! They use onetravel.com as their engine, very similar to priceline. But my credit card problem arose again, "only accept orders from credit card holders in the US"....So I tried your suggestion, using a Visa card issued from NZ, with an Australian billing address! Filled in the blanks as you described, and PRESTO! IT WORKED!Flight is booked!Out of curiosity and to illustrate to you state-siders what we have to deal with 'down-under', I rang our local travel discounter and asked them for a price on the same flight in $US.....$732US!!!!!!!! - yeh, nice one.
