luckygal Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I've not used Priceline before so here's a question: When I went to PRICELINE (via your link, of course!) There was this property advertised. I'm hoping it is for the JW Marriott Ihilani. It says it's in the "hotel partner" not a condo, although their condos would be okay, too. I can't find any other "Resorts" in that area but maybe I'm not searching properly? I've pasted their info below. Would it indicate if it were a condo? Thanks.Star Rating: Hotel Name: Priceline Hotel Partner Hotel Amenities Remote Control TV with Premium Channels Telephone with Voicemail Radio Alarm Clock Iron and Ironing Board Hairdryer 24 Hour Front Desk Full Service Restaurant Room Service Bellman Concierge Fitness Center Access or Spa Facility Pool Resort activities (includes either: golf, tennis, skiing, beachfront or major attraction)
thereuare Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 With PRICELINE you can't take an educated guess as to the hotel before as no amenities are shown (not really sure where on the PRICELINE website you're seeing the info above), you're subject to receiving any hotel in the zone at the minimum star rating you select.HOTWIRE is the service where you can see the amenities beforehand and try to guess as to what you may likely received.Start here: I've Never Used Priceline or HotwirePlease use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll try to help accordingly. luckygal Posted June 9, 2009 Author Report Posted June 9, 2009 Actually, all the info I put in my post was copied and pasted directly from Priceline. It came from the right side of the page which said "Travel Deals for You." I clicked on the deal and all that detail did come up.
Luvhawaii Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 I saw the same deal when I was searching for hotels. It was really weird, on the right side of the page, and I could only bid the amount indicated. I tried but it was a duplicate bid for me that day. no success.Lucky gal, let me know what you get. I am sooo curious.
BrianD4 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 The only hotels in the Ihilani area are the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club and the Marriott Ihilani (and these hotels are right next to each other). The Beach Club is more of a time-share facility, and the rooms there are bigger and nicer (normally a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen and in-room washer/dryer. The Ihilani is more of a hotel. I don't think the Beach Club is a Priceline property, so any bids in that area for resorts would have to be the Ihilani. I stayed there with a winning Priceline bid of $100 in late May. I think parking was $25 a day.
thereuare Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 I see the area refered to above and I don't think you're bidding on a specific property as the amenities shown for every 4* hotel i clicked on had the same amenities listed, which would indicate the information is star rating specific and not hotel specific. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
