AdamHo Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I saw there were hotels going for around $100 in the area I wanted (close to Chelsea) but they were 3-3.5 stars. So I aimed a little lower. I didn't get a Chelsea area hotel but I got the Wyndham Garden Hotel Time Square South also known as Wyndham Garden Hotel Midtown Convention Center. It is a 3 star hotel just north of Penn Station and about a 15 minute walk from where I am going in Chelsea. I got it by selecting 2.5 star hotels, $90 per night, and adding Madison Square Garden area to my bid. The hotel shown on the Wyndham site looks very nice. I could only find a local number that turned out to be their fax line and an automated nationwide number for the chain. I wanted to find out what in-room internet options they had but couldn't get a live person.Once again, I got this hotel by bidding:2.5 stars, Madison Square Garden and Chelsea areas, $90 per night on Priceline. The price with taxes and fees was $114.02.
AaronJB Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. Looks like a very good deal for this property during this time period.I haven't looked, but I would think the hotel internet options would be on the hotel website. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. :)
