TurdFerguson Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Hello everyone,I am in need of some help. I am in a small predicament trying to get a hotel for myself and 7 other guys, including the Groom-to-be. I've never been to Vegas and any input would be greatly appreciated, since of course, I am the Best Man (and younger brother) in wedding. We had set on a date of 8/14-8/17 wanting to stay at a 4* or 5* hotel. Since I've been looking for flights and hotels for the past 2 months, enough to make anyone senile, I have seen prices of hotels jump/drop more than $100/night...let alone flights. My question is this, what would you recommend on a time frame of ordering 2 rooms? Is it better to wait until around the time we leave, or is it better to get the rooms now since they're so far in advance? It honestly doesn't matter where we stay, the only thing I would be concerned about is this...let's say I get 2 rooms at a 4* hotel for around $70, and later there is a 5* hotel for around $80. I would obviously take the 5*. THAT is the only thing I would be worried about. Granted, the guys that are going might not ever sleep in a room, if they ever find it from their inebriation, but I just wanted something nice to relax in when we get back at 5am. So I'm basically looking for the BEST most INEXPENSIVE as possible. Also, I'm not sure if this is your area for expertise, flights. Again since the economy change, I've seen prices go from $200-$300/person flying from Metro Detroit (Go Blue!). I've been using Kayak.com for most of my flights in the past, but again, since I've never been to Vegas, this is all new to me.Thanks for the help in advance,T

TurdFerguson Posted June 9, 2009 Author Report Posted June 9, 2009 I was seeing numerous flights right around $299-$309, mainly from NWA
thereuare Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 As i mentioned above i don't know this route... i do know that from NYC anything under $300 is a 'good' fare, but in the last few months, with the slow Vegas economy, even last minute fares can be had for ~$220 or so.I'm seeing ~$285 on Orbitz right now for your dates. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
