Hotwire Hotel: 4* Ottawa (Downtown) Marriott

(Note: This is my first time posting, so I apologize if I have the format wrong.)

Just wanted to take a moment to post to say that I received a booking at the Marriott even though the amenities listed did not look like the Marriott.

So either the amenities have changed or it was a rookie mistake (quite possible).

Anyhow, the amenities listed were

Smoke Free Rooms

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-speed Internet Access

I was expecting the Westin considering that previous Marriott wins also had children's activities and golf nearby as amenities.

Although I was initially slightly disappointed, I have since learned that the Westin is under construction, so maybe the Marriott will be better after all. And to me the price is right for my first time using Hotwire, considering the rates I had researched for booking direct.

When did you make this purchase, as the current 4* offering for your date above on HOTWIRE with the amenities above i believe is the Westin. If you go to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page, do you see the 'full' list of amenities that were previously associated with this property or just the six above?

Hi there,

I made the purchase on Thursday, June 4th just before 7 p.m. EDT. I double-checked my account a few minutes ago and the amenities listed are just the six I posted previously.

I will be interested to see if others have this experience in the next few days and weeks.

If the 4* that is showing there now is the same, then I could have saved $15 USD by waiting, but like I said I am new at this. I'm still happy with the results!
