Priceline Hotel: Bidding assistance for Paris

Hi

Trying to help a friend use PRICELINE to book accommodation for Paris.

Shes not too fussed about the area as long its safe and close to transport and not out of the city.

Maximum bid is $120.

You/she will need to do a little research first to determine which zone(s) she is comfortable with... Champs Elysees and the Latin Quarter are probably the zones most frequently bid, but she should first determine what she would like to see/do while in Paris and then choose which zone(s) will work best for her own needs. You can enter "Paris" in the QUICK SEARCH box in the blue banner at the top of the page to see all results for Paris and get a feel for which zones are used the most and approximate prices for each.

The zones thats shes good with are but not in preference order. Would you be able to help with the order shes not sure.

1. Bastille - Bercy

Without knowing her plans i would start with the most common zones... bidding both Champs Elysees (most like but i found very touristy) and the Latin Quarter zones. If that was rejected up to my limit would then add Eifel Tower (some think parts of the zone are too much away from the center but i liked this area).

If price is important i would adjust the strategy to simply try for the least expensive 4* or better in any of the acceptable zones.

You/she have time and others are more familar than i am so you may want to await their response(s) as to which area is 'best'.
