greatdealseeker Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 :) Hello,I recently decided that I was going to bid for a three star hotel on PRICELINE after ruling out HOTWIRE due to the fact that I was not able to view the hotels' pictures and information that I was bidding on. I bidded $50 on a 3 star hotel in San Antonio, TX airport area, Father's Day weekend June 20-21, 2009. My bid was accepted by Courtyard San Antonio/North Star Mall, 80 Northeast Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78216. Before I did the bidding I read the notes from this forum that helped me alot. Thanks....I will post later details about my stay.
thereuare Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I recently decided that I was going to bid for a three star hotel on PRICELINE after ruling out HOTWIRE due to the fact that I was not able to view the hotels' pictures and information that I was bidding on.Welcome to BetterBidding! Not really sure i understand why you chose PRICELINE over HOTWIRE in this situation since neither will allow you to see the name of the hotel, picture, etc of the hotel before your purchase... but HOTWIRE is the one which actually gives you more information than PRICELINE.Regardless, hope you're happy with the results and this property works well for your needs. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
greatdealseeker Posted June 5, 2009 Author Report Posted June 5, 2009 :) You have a point there. I was contemplating if I was actually going to use the services. I noticed on PRICELINE that I could open up a different window and see which hotels where considered 3 stars and so on vs HOTWIRE not allowing me to see their hotels they consider three stars and up.
AaronJB Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 PRICELINE's retail price side does not necessarily match with the "Name Your Own Price" bidding side, so what's showing on the retail side isn't necessarily what you might get on the bidding side.
