Priceline Hotel: 3* Seattle (Downtown-Pike Place) Red Lion on Fifth

Last night I bid on a hotel in Seattle for Friday June 5th & Saturday June 6th. I was given a message that said my bid for $75.00 was accepted for Red Lion downtown on 5th Street. I assumed I was all set and didn't really look at the confirmation that was emailed to me until this morning. When I looked at my itinerary it was for only Friday and not Saturday night. I tried to add an additional night and it wouldn't allow me to do that.

So I called them asking why they charged my card for Friday night without telling me I couldn't have Saturday night. When I called I could tell I was speaking to someone in India and they just kept reading me something off of a card or something and didn't even act like they were human. They kept telling me I had only bid on Friday night and not Saturday but when I called the phone number on my itinerary and entered my reservation number a recording came on to say that my bid for Friday was accepted but not Saturday. But the person "Sophie" in India kept insisting I had only bid on Friday night and not Saturday. Well now I'm stuck with only one night at the Red Lion in Seattle and have to search for a place for the second night. I wanted to speak with a Manager and they just sent me to customer service and they would not allow me to move my Friday and Saturday night to another hotel or get me a Saturday night at the Red Lion.

I will not use PRICELINE again after this experience!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Sorry to hear of your ordeal, but it's highly unlikely that PRICELINE accepted a bid for only part of your stay, as that's just not how the system works. None of us can say as we weren't looking over your shoulder as you placed the bid, but it's much more likely that you mistakenly entered the wrong check-out date. Just as you "didn't really look at the confirmation that was emailed to me" you probably didn't check the 'bid review' screen carefully to ensure that you were about to submit a bid with the correct check-out date.

If you'd like help with remaining nite of your stay please start a NEW TOPIC... PRICELINE will still likely be your least expensive option, but if you prefer not to use their service i can understand that, and perhaps HOTWIRE would be a good option for you?
