Hi,

My parents are coming to NYC from Ireland for 4 nights from 10/21 to 10/25. Im looking to put them up in something 2.5* or higher.....looking for something around the $200 pn mark but willling to go a little over for something worthwhile. Having a look around on Hotwire.

Any advice/help ?

I still can't figure out the Customer Favorite you had first listed... one comment mentions a room with a private terrace but i can't find any hotels that have any rooms with a terrace. It's also close to Grand Central (via another comment) that should narrow the area somewhat, but i still haven't been able to locate anything that fits this description.

I think the 4* Boutique hotel above is the Shoreham.

Now that you're getting slightly ahead of your desired $200/nite limit, i see QUICKBOOK has the Dylan for your nites at an average of $231/nite and the REVIEWS are pretty good.

Thanks for your help. I looked at Hotwire and settled on the Martinique on Broadway. This was being quoted as $219 pn, and I checked the Martinique on Broadway website to check out the hotel. They have a lowest internet guarantee whereby if you book with them and find it cheaper elsewhere they will refund the difference plus 10%. Well I didnt need to do this cause they have a trick in their site where when you first search it brings up rates, but if you research using the lefthand menu and select "best available" rate it will reprice the existing offerings and I got it for $216 a night and $200 on the Sunday night.

Thanks for your help again.
