vinmassaro Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Bid $95, $100, $105, $108, $110, booked at $112. Very nice hotel in Copley Square. Parking is $42 a night though :) Anyone got a suggestion for parking?
AaronJB Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Congratulations on your win!Hope you are pleased with the deal and that this hotel works well for your plans.Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the area - hopefully a local or another poster more familiar with Boston can suggest alternate parking, but as is the case with most big cities these dates, parking is going to likely be expensive.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.Enjoy your stay.
JeffSC Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 I am not from the area. I live in Calif. My brother and I are doing a "baseball road trip" back east from Philly to NY and then to Boston. Originally, we were going to rent a car. We then discovered that we would be paying anywhere from $25-$45 per night at the hotels we were staying at plus parking at the ballparks plus the car rental and gas. We then looked into Amtrak. To go from Philly to NY, NY to Boston and Boston to Providence was $76 per person TOTAL. Obviously, I have no idea what your itinerary is but if it is possible, I would be planning my trip using the train, subway, taxi and buses. I think you'd be surprised how much money you will save. I realize that by having your own car you can plan your day according to your own schedule but if you have a flexible itinerary, I think alternative transportation is the only way to go.Good luck
