My guess from the Hotwire Hotel List is the Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview, or the Doubletree (either would be terrific for me)... What do you think? I really don't want the Fallsview Plaza (previously Renaissance Fallsview) after reading some reviews of it!

This could possibly be the Hilton or Doubletree; with no tripadvisor rating, there's no way to tell for sure.

I am curious - are you ever able to upgrade a room once you've bought through PL or HW? (At Niagara, it's all about the view! And I'm sure the cheap rooms they do on PL/HW are viewless)

HOTWIRE and PRICELINE reservations are not entitled to an upgrade, but you can ask at check-in. At some properties, they may allow you to pay an upgrade fee. You can also call to put in a "request" and see what they say whether or not there will be a fee to upgrade or if they will allow it.
