ChicagoLaw Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 started at $60 -kept adding useless regionsI'm new. What does it mean to keep adding useless regions? Can you bid again the same day that way? What if you add some other regions but you don't really want to stay in those regions? Is there a chance a hotel in a useless region will accept you bid and now you are staying far away from where you wanted to? I've seen several bidders get a Hyatt Regency on Priceline in the Millenium/Loop/Grant area. Is that the Hyatt on E. Wacker Drive or the one at 800 N. Michigan? Thanks
AaronJB Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 It is definitely not the 5* on 800 N. Michigan, which does not participate with PRICELINE.Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase.
ChicagoLaw Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 So it is the one on E. Wacker Dr.? It is not the McCormick Place Hyatt is it (that really is not in the Millenium/Loop/Grant area is it?)It is definitely not the 5* on 800 N. Michigan, which does not participate with PRICELINE.Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase.
AaronJB Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 It is the one on E. Wacker. The Hyatt McCormick is in a different PRICELINE zone.
thereuare Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I'm new. What does it mean to keep adding useless regions? Can you bid again the same day that way? Is there a chance a hotel in a useless region will accept you bid and now you are staying far away from where you wanted to? The user refered to "useless" meaning zones that only contained star levels lower than the one s/he was bidding. This is refered to as re-bidding, and is explained here: Priceline Re-Bidding ExplainedFeel free to ask questions regarding re-bidding, and if you let us know what star rating you're trying for, we'll let you know how many re-bid zones and confirm that you have them correct before you actually use them to bid. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
