Good afternoon,

I am trying to find 1 nights accomodation in central New York for the 4th-5th August.

Is it too early to start bidding for 3.5* or 4* hotels in this area.

We would like to stay very central, so the areas we have selected in order of preference are :

1) Time Square

2) Midtown West

3) Central Park South

4) Madison Square Garden

5) Midtown East

Any comments or suggestions would be more than welcome.

Thank you :)

My maximum budget would be $120. But I am hoping to be able to get a 4* for that price. I need 2 beds rather than one big one and I am worried that this might be a problem (having researched the winning bids). Therefore I thought I would tie myself into Mid Town West and hope for the Sheraton as I know they have the facilities to be able to move around beds or rooms. Do you have any advice for that tactic?

I also have another question please.

We have hired a car and are driving up from Washington / Baltimore. Would there be somewhere to leave the car (for free) outside NY and catch the metro (or equivalent) in to the center, or is it better to just drive into Manhattan and pay for parking at one of the garages?

Thank you
