Hotwire Hotel: Hotel Identification Help Please - 3* Cambridge

5 of us will be in Boston area 6/14-6/17 for conference in Waterfront Area. As none of us are couples we want a minimum of 2 beds per room so I have been querying Hotwire for 2 rooms with 3 people each. Rates identified are:

$99 for 3.5* for Copley Aquare area - 3.0 on TripAdvisor for 180+ reviews. Obviously the old and tired Sheraton with only wired Internet access in rooms.

$88 for 3* for Cambridge - 4.0 on TripAdvisor based on 60+ reviews - presumably the Holiday Inn Express which has 61 reviews. Only other alternative I can see is the Hampton with 4.0 on 68 reviews but last review was in April in contrast to May date mentioned on Hotwire. I specifically want to avoid the Hampton as it is undergoing construction and only has wired Internet access in the rooms

My concern though is that Hotwire only shows complimentary breakfast as amenity for Holiday Inn - no Internet mentioned at all. Can anyone postulate why this information is missing?

The other alternative I've considered is Priceline which might get us closer to Boston although I believe the T is quite good. However, Priceline doesn't offer capability to require more than 2 people to a room.

All help appreciated, thank you

Best guess for the 3* Cambridge property is the Holiday Inn Express, as it has previously been reported to the board with just the "lone" Complimentary Breakfast icon.

There are plenty of reasons why a hotel may not list all the amenities offered (personally i don't think it's a good idea), but the best example is that almost all hotels (at least in the US) now offer some form of hi-speed internet access, just a large number of hotels (even at the 3* and higher level) still don't show this icon.

I also agree with your assessment that the above is not likely the Hampton Inn due to the date of the last review.

Lastly, when you do this search, rather than 2rooms/6adults (which is how i think you're searching) i would sooner search for 2rooms/7adults... the former could theoretically give you one room with two beds (for quad occupancy) and a second room with one bed (double occupancy) which would give you one less bed than you would likely get when searching for 2rooms/7adults (which ensures two 'beds' in each room). Sometimes the price increases with the additional occupancy, but it doesn't in this case, and this just eliminates the potential for any issue and needing to ask for them to change a one beded room to a room with two beds.
