JordanCA Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Over the last week, I have been looking for a Seattle hotel for two nights beginning 7/1. Every day for approximately six days, I had tried different combinations in the under-$80 range, all of which were rejected. Most of my bids were placed late in the evening, PDT. I began to think I wouldn't find a 4* in my budget for these dates. But this morning I rebid and won. Pretty happy with this outcome:First Bid $82 for Pike Place only, rejected. Received offer for free rebid by adding $22 to price, which I declined. (First time I received this though, so felt hopeful.)Rebid $84 adding Space Needle area, rejected.Rebid $86 adding Lake Union area, accepted.Final results$86.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 2Subtotal: $172.00Taxes and Service Fees: $34.31Total Charges*: $206.31One quick question if anyone has thoughts on this. I'd like to avoid renting a car for this stay (Sheraton parking garage fees; no pressing need). What's the best way to get to and from the hotel from SEATAC? Thanks!

katatonia Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Hopefully someone familiar with Seattle can chime in regarding public transit from SEATAC.The best way to get straight to the Sheraton is using the Grayline Airport Express. It runs regularly throughout the day and is $18 round trip. It will drop you off right outside the Sheraton as it is a shceduled stop on their route. http://www.graylineseattle.com/airportexpress1.cfm
