bwiehoff Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I was wondering if someone could help give me advice on where to start for a Napa 4*? I see others have gotten Vino Bella, which I think we would like. Are there other 4*'s in the Napa region I need to worry I might get, and where should I start bidding? We are going 6/5-6/8, 2009.
AaronJB Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Welcome to the site. What is your budget per night for hotel? You can see the list of reported PRICELINE wins for California in the Priceline Hotel List.
Gallus50 Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 The two 4* properties that have come up with any regularity are the Meritage and the Vino Bello. Now that the Westin is open in downtown Napa, that may start showing up as well. There are lots of solid 3.5 properties that may come up that are fairly well reviewed; the River Terrace is one, with others including the Marriott and the Embassy Suites. Because there aren't too many 4* Priceline properties, you might want to try 3.5* as well. Prices have not gone lower than approximately $95, with more bids being won at $105 - $120. Good prices compared to rack rate, but not the big discounts you're seeing in SF. I've been paying close attention because I've been bidding for Napa in Sept and getting nowhere. I think you'll have more luck because you're coming right up on your dates. Do a search for Napa in BB (in the QUICK SEARCH box at the top) and you'll see all previously won bids. Then go ahead and get started! Good luck.
