lornamcp Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Used PRICELINE rebid strategy. Started at $45 (wishful thinking) and worked up. At $58, was given a counter offer of $73. Final price was $63. Not too bad for the height of summer, but unsure as Tripadvisor has some questionable reviews for the King Ed from Priceline users. Fingers crossed it is ok.
thereuare Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Hopefully the negative reviews are isolated incidents and this property is not 'discriminating' against PRICELINE customers. I would go with an open mind, but if i felt i was receiving unfair treatment, i would bring it up to management at the time of occurence, and politely and calmly explain my concerns and see if they can resolve any issues you're having. Please report back with your experience after your stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. liquiddemons Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 I'm not sure if this will calm your fears but I stayed at the King Edward through a PRICELINE booking not too long ago and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel dates from the turn of the century and has a lot of charm to it. The common areas are stunning and the room they put me in was truly enormous! Hopefully you will have as nice a stay as I did. And for the price I'm sure you will.
