ladave Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Greetings: A hotel has popped up on Hotwire which I am unable to identify using the tools on this site. Central Park 3* Amenities: boutique, complimentary breakfast, internet access. $139 per day, 7/13-7/16.Any ideas? The Franklin? The Wales?
thereuare Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! The above is a match for the Franklin Hotel so that would be my best guess. I'll also add, that unless you have a reason to be staying on the UES, i wouldn't necessarily recommend this location for the typical visitor. It's not the most convenient for getting around the city and i think you would be better served (assuming your 'typical tourist' (not meant in a bad way)) to stay more centrally located in Midtown. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts and/or how it goes or if we can be of further help. ladave Posted May 1, 2009 Author Report Posted May 1, 2009 Thanks. I used to live in NY so I'm not a typical tourist. I was guessing either the Franklin or the Wales. I will post back on what I wind up with.

AaronJB Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Congratulations on your win and thank you for posting the details. This is a beautiful, well-located and historic property in NYC. This is also a terrific discount off regular rate. What were the amenities showing with this HOTWIRE listing? Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.Enjoy your stay.
ladave Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Posted May 28, 2009 Amenities:Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby I did use the HOTWIRE link on this site to start my purchase. I'd been following this for a while, when the price dropped from $159 to $135 today I jumped on it. Thanks to the helpful information on this site I figured it was either the Barclay or the Hyatt, either would have been fine.
AaronJB Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Thanks so much for using the HOTWIRE link and providing the amenities! :)
