Reisebiene Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Hello,i`m looking for 2 Doublerooms - 4 Adults from 11/14/2009 - 11/16/09 in San Juan Area.Hotwire shows me 4* San Juan Area Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High Speed Internett Access, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services - $ 115 - is this "Intercontinental" ???3,5* in San Juan Area Near Beach, Casino, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Centner, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet - $ 112 - is this 3.5* Radisson Ambassador Plaza Hotel ???Thanks Reisebiene from Germany
thereuare Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! The 4* is a match for the Inter-Continetnal and the 3.5* is a match for the Radisson, so that would be our best guess for each too. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Reisebiene Posted June 29, 2009 Author Report Posted June 29, 2009 Hello again, today i try it again - 2 Doublerooms 11/14/2009 - 11/16/2009.I get a 3 * 123 US$ - Fitness Center, Pools, Restaurants, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby - ????4* 119 US$ - Resort, Pools, Restaurnats, Business-Center, High Speed Intenet AccessAre the 3* the Sheraton Old San Juan???At the Resort - will there be a Resort Fee + ?Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 I think the 4* is the same property you were seeing previously, the InterContinental, with fewer amenities. If you change your search to 4adults/0children a similarly priced hotel is offered at the 4* level in this zone with:Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Hi-Speed Interent, Business, Laundry, Tennis, Spawhich is a match for the InterContinental. As this property has never been reported with this "fewer" amenity combination, if you're trying to target this property it would be 'safer' to purchase as 4adults/0children.For the 3* i'm not currently showing this property on my HOTWIRE search for your dates... are you still seeing it on your own HOTWIRE search? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Reisebiene Posted June 29, 2009 Author Report Posted June 29, 2009 thereuare, yes i have it on my search:Location:San Juan Area Check-in:Sat, Nov 14, 2009 Check-out:Mon, Nov 16, 2009 per room, per night$124 Thanks
thereuare Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 I see this property now... i don't know if it's the Sheraton, but i'm doubtful it is.Chaning your search to 2adults/1child the same 3* hotel as you asked about in the first post is showing at the same exact price as when i search for 2adults/0children, so i'm guessing just like my 4* guess, this is the Holiday Inn showing a subset of the amenities shown when searching for 2adults/0children.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let su know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Reisebiene Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I want try to get the Sheraton Old San Juan in Puerto Rico.If i try it with Priceline, when is my Bid "fix"?Step 1, 2 and 3 on the first site are clearly, next site "Please Review Your Request" also.If i then go to "next" - I already have a booking if the price is accepted, or I have another or more choices? And another Question: I have read, all Bookings via Priceline or Hotwire are Standard-Rooms.If we want a better room - has someone experience with upgrades? Thanks
yellowdog Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Please keep all posts for your stay in this thread. If i try it with Priceline, when is my Bid "fix"?Are you talking about "best time to bid"? If yes, see this link: Should i Bid Early or Close to Arrival DateIf i then click "Buy My Hotel Room" - I already have a booking if the price is accepted, or I have another or more choices? This is it, you have a reservation/own your room if you get accepted. If we want a better room - has someone experience with upgrades? This is an issue you have to talk to the hotel about. Please post if you have any further questions before you start bidding. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
Reisebiene Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I've posted at Priceline because it is a special ask about priceline and not to Puerto Rico. No, i don`t talking about "Best time To Bid", i thought the procedure on the website. After Site 2 - "Please Review Your Request" - and after accept of terms and conditions, there are more search Options? Thanks
yellowdog Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 After Site 2 - "Please Review Your Request" - and after accept of terms and conditions, there are more search Options?No-------------"What Happens Next.Once you click "Buy My Hotel Room", priceline will look for a hotel to match your offer. If we accept your offer, we'll immediately charge the credit card you provide to us. Please note, you will not be provided with a list of hotel options. Please remember, once you click "Buy My Hotel Room" your request can not be changed, cancelled, or transferred and refunds are not allowed. If we can't accept your offer, your credit card will not be charged."Yellowdog.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
