Lien Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Hi,Could you please help me get a successful bid for a Washington DC, 3*, preferrably in downtown area. We're traveling with 2 kids and my elder mother and won't have a rental car; do you think I have to stick with downtown or we can stay anywhere and can get to the Mall area quickly with Metro? My initial bid was $55, rejected, $60, and finally $70 rejected; while I saw a $60 bid 3.5* in this area was accepted. Is there a specific star level in specific zone could guarantee me to get a 2-bed non smoking room, because we're traveling with kids?I'd really appreciate any tips you could give me because we're running out of time. Thanks so much,Lien.
AaronJB Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)PRICELINE does not guarantee 2 beds (this is especially true in a major city like DC) - if 2 beds is a must than HOTWIRE is a far better choice.Keep in mind with hotel prices that rates that other people are getting for different days do not apply to yours, as rates are "date-specific" and vary due to demand. What would be your max budget per night for hotel? Is your party 2 adults/2 kids? Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
Lien Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 Thanks so much for your help, AaronJB.Lien.
thereuare Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 It doesn't appear there is too much offered within your budget thru HOTWIRE when searching for your dates and quad occupancy... what is your gamplan at this point? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
