italice Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Need help with ID of MIA 3* 12/29/09 - 12/31/09. I have cross referenced using the amenity comparison, and can't figure out this one:3 * MIA shuttle, fitness center, pool, business center, laundry, high speed internet. All of the "close" choices include a restaurant and or free breakfast.Much thanks!
thereuare Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 I suspect this property is not showing it's "full" amenities.Searching for 2adults/0children on your dates i get a 3* in this zone with only 3 amenities for $51/nite? (is the rate you're showing for the property above ~$51??)Chaning my search to 2adults/2children i get a 3* in this zone for the same $51 but with many more amenities:Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry and a TA rating of 3.5/5.0 with 40+ reviewsThis 2adult/2children property is a match for the Holiday Inn Doral at 3255 N.W. 87TH AVE (i believe also/now called Holiday Inn Airport West).Given the same rate, i'm guessing that this is the same property that i saw on my 2adults/0chidlren search, and perhaps the same property you saw on your own search, with each of those showing fewer than the 'full' list. (assuming the property you saw was ~$51)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. moojar Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I believe I have found the same hotel for 09/13/09 - same price ($54), area, rating and reviews, and also showing many more facilities when I use 2 adults + 2 children in the search rather than just 2 adults. (using the BetterBidding HOTWIRE link, of course!) I am wary of choosing / booking the 'fewer amenities' version, only because there appear to be some ... inferior 3* hotels in the area that may or may not be on Hotwire. My question is, if we book as a family of 4 (in one room) and only 2 adults show up, will that be a problem? We cannot alter or cancel the booking once made, but if we were to call the hotel a couple weeks ahead and say "the children are not coming now, just the adults, and, umm, how about a king bed room?" is that likely to be a problem? Thanks!,Neil.
italice Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 Hi again,I need to check with the family to see what they want to do. I will post our decision either way (if we book or not). It sure is funny how the available properties change depending on the configuration of the request (ie; two adults/two children, three adults/one child, etc.) As usual...thanks for all of the help.-a.

You could just as easily book for two and not receive a King bed either :)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
