ufauxreal
If a hotel lists 'business center' as an amenity, what does this generally include? Would there be computers set up to access e-mail?Thanks!JB Link to comment
thereuare
Directly from Hotwire:Business CenterGuests have access to business equipment/services.Gain a lot of insight from that? :) Generally i would think that this refers more to copying and faxing services than it does to computer use, but i have generally found that most 'higher tier' hotels have the above in addition to computer terminals for guests us... albeit sometimes at obscene prices. :) If i stay in a hotel that does not offer free internet use i will often either use my laptop via a dial-up connection OR i've been very successful finding nearby locations that have free or reasonable cost internet access: public libraries are a great resource that many don't consider, as well as many coffee shops that now offer free use with any purchase. A little research before your trip can often yield a few back-up locations. thesqueegeekid
I was at a Holiday Inn (2.5 star Priceline) just outside Cincinatti which had no business center. I called Priceline to inquire what exactly is required for them to list their business amenity and they said .... "just a fax machine" ... that's it!!! So, do not expect too much... Link to comment
