Priceline Hotel: 4* Frankfurt (West) Moevenpick

I see a 4* in Frankfurt that's been going for $44 a night.

The only amenities are a fitness center and restaurant though. Any idea what this could be?

Right now $44/night in the area specified by priceline looks pretty good!

Room assignment went off without a hitch. I got a smallish room without a view, but I didn't expect much. Shall I attach a review to my post?

Unfortunately the HOTWIRE property above has not yet been identified and there are no additional clues provided in order to help take an educated guess... the majority of 4* hotels in this area likely have the these amenities.

Sorry... thanks for your patience. I'm willing to accept Frankfurt zones West and East, but prefer West. Yes, I'd like a 4* property for less than $44, which is what I can get via hotwire.

From keeping an eye on Frankfurt bidding for a while now, I think it's pretty likely that if you bid for a 4* West under $44, if you get anything at all, it will be the Moevenpick. Not a bad hotel. Not my favorite location for a tourist, but public transportation is reliable.

comparing hotwire and priceline prices: usually priceline accepts a lower bid but their "fees" are higher than in hotwire!

Always compare the total esp. at hotwire!!! The fees arenot a percentage of the "rate", sometimes the fees are 50% of the rate, sometimes 10-15%.

Priceline usually has better deals

4* for 40 USD should be possible (Moevenpick at Priceline is very likely, will be ca. 40 EUR, good deal even the hotel is far from everything, you need to walk or carry your suitcases if you don't use taxi)

On Friday, May 22nd I obtained a price of $40 a night, for three nights, with taxes and charges the total billed to my credit card was $151.01 USD.
