XT600 Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 very good rate!!seems that "the crisis" also arrived in Switzerland. I paid $110+fees back November 2008 which was exactly same as official rate "pay2stay3" ca. 149 CHF/nightNote: airport shutlle cost 8 CHF, parking 37CHF expensive as everything in this hotel: 37 CHF breakfast and 110 CHF for dinner buffet - wow!!no free parking all over Z
MadFlyer Posted May 27, 2009 Author Report Posted May 27, 2009 Yes. Everything is expensive, but.... you have tram 10 from airport directly to the hotel. A 24 hour pass can be had for around 3,80 CHF for use on trams and trains. Be carefull if you take the night train back to station 10 minutes away as you must buy a night suplement for 5 CHF though. Otherwise little controll on the walk on trams. The top shelf of the mini-bar is empty for refrigeration and has room for food and beverage. Can save a lot buy shopping at right times. The Migros store at the Airport just inside from the tram entrance is open 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm and if wanting to save money in Switzerland, buy products that have the daily freshness markdown of 50%. I got upgraded on my stay when no lounge service, but for this stay I did not as that would have meant free breakfast.
