phil_eb Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Hi, I'm new here, but amazed by all the service offered in this forum.I'm currently looking at a 4* Hotel in Downtown New Orleans with Hotwire:Fri, Jun 19 to Mon, Jun 22 - 1 room, 3 nightsIt offers me:4* Hotel with:Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Businessfor 59$.If I understood your forum correctly I should associate this with the following hotels:4* Inter-Continental (previously 4.5*)4* SheratonIt also offers me:3* Hotel with> Restaurant, Pool, Hi-Speed Internet, Boutique Hotel, Laundry Facilities for 52 $ in the French QuarterAny Idea on that?Thank you
thereuare Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Yes, you're using the board correctly, the best guess for the 4* Downtown property would be the Inter-Continental or the Sheraton. Based upon some other factors I would give a slight edge to this being the Inter-Continental, but if the Sheraton showed it wouldn't surprise me either. The 3* French Quarter property is a match for the Holiday Inn New Orleans - Chateau Lemoyne so that would be our best guess there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. katief241981 Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 I once purchased a 4 star hotel in the downtown area of new orleans on HOTWIRE.com for a similar rate and it was the intercontinental. It was fabulous and very close to the quarter too. HOTWIRE has not failed me - yet. And i hope it never does!!
thereuare Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Price shouldn't be used as a determining factor in trying to identify hotels, but rather use the star rating and amenitieis to match with previous reports. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
