Hotwire Hotel: Help Identifying 4* Hotel Downtown New Orleans

Hi, I'm new here, but amazed by all the service offered in this forum.

I'm currently looking at a 4* Hotel in Downtown New Orleans with Hotwire:

Fri, Jun 19 to Mon, Jun 22 - 1 room, 3 nights

It offers me:

4* Hotel with:Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business

for 59$.

If I understood your forum correctly I should associate this with the following hotels:

4* Inter-Continental (previously 4.5*)

4* Sheraton

It also offers me:

3* Hotel with> Restaurant, Pool, Hi-Speed Internet, Boutique Hotel, Laundry Facilities for 52 $ in the French Quarter

Any Idea on that?

Yes, you're using the board correctly, the best guess for the 4* Downtown property would be the Inter-Continental or the Sheraton. Based upon some other factors I would give a slight edge to this being the Inter-Continental, but if the Sheraton showed it wouldn't surprise me either.

The 3* French Quarter property is a match for the Holiday Inn New Orleans - Chateau Lemoyne so that would be our best guess there.

I once purchased a 4 star hotel in the downtown area of new orleans on HOTWIRE.com for a similar rate and it was the intercontinental. It was fabulous and very close to the quarter too. HOTWIRE has not failed me - yet. And i hope it never does!!

Price shouldn't be used as a determining factor in trying to identify hotels, but rather use the star rating and amenitieis to match with previous reports.
