Hotwire Hotel: idenitfying 3.5* and 4* NYC hotels

I need a room for December 29 - January 4 and am possibly looking at these:

4* Times Square - Theater District

Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Spa Services.

$236 per night

3.5* Times Square - Theater District

Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access.

$239 per night

Any idea which hotel these could be? i've worked out a few others but not 100% sure on these.

Welcome to the site.

First, the two HOTWIRE listings you mention become noticeably cheaper if you are able to break up your stay into 2 parts.

The other issue is that there are some refundable reservations for all 6 days of your trip that are cheaper than the HOTWIRE listings you mention, although they are not in TS.

Morgans (which would offer free breakfast) is $222.50 on Orbitz.com.

Grand Hyatt is $230 on Orbitz.com.

I would definitely recommend double checking the cancel policy on both of these, but they appear to be non-refundable. Morgans for $222.50 on these dates seems like a particularly good deal, considering its a regular rate purchase.

In terms of the HOTWIRE listings you mention, the 4* has not yet been ID'd, while the 3.5* would be a match for either the Millennium Broadway or the Time, but is more likely the MB. The 4* Times Square/Theatre District is cheaper for 12/29-1/1.

If you want to break up your stay, you could:

Stay at the 4* Times Square/Theatre District (Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Spa Services) for 12/29-1/1 for $209 per night.

Stay at the 3.5* Times Square/Theatre District (Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access.) for $179 for 1/1-1/4.

This would average out to $194 per night, more than $40 less per night than staying at either one for all 6 days.
