rove312 Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I'd been through a few rounds of bidding for a 2.5* in Mission Valley; I'd gotten up to $45. I don't want to post on TOBB again, and I look forward to BB being the premier source for bidding help, but on TOBB I saw some hints that a $42 bid in Mira Mesa might succeed. I tried that for a 2.5*; it was rejected with a counteroffer to raise by $12. I met them $1 more than halfway by adding the one free rebid (Miramar) at $49, and it was accepted. This was the same price as my 1* backup. Maybe I should have made an intermediate bid for Mission Valley; I was also considering the chance to have more rounds of bidding by keeping M.V. bids separate. The acceptance:Congratulations, you got your price of $49 for a hotel room, and we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a 3-star hotel!
