Any recommendations for transport from JFK?Thx - booked through the PRICELINE link :).
AaronJB Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Still looks like a very good rate, considering what other sites are offering. Hopefully a local will be able to chime in regarding transit options.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Regarding JFK to the hotel... how many people are traveling and how much luggage will you have? Is it managable (has wheels?) that you could (or want to?) walk with it and/or travel via mass transit? What time and day of the week are you scheduled to arrive? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
DA40 Posted May 22, 2009 Author Report Posted May 22, 2009 I'll be arriving on Tuesday morning at 6:49, got some luggage. I guess I could do the AirTrain/LIRR/PATH - would be travel by Taxi/Limo/Shuttle quicker? Is there actually any shuttle from JFK to Jersey - I haven't found any so far. I know I should have taken a hotel in Manhatten but my flight schedule had changed after I made the booking.
thereuare Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 If you dont' want to pay for a taxi to Jersey City (~$85 + toll + tip) you could take a taxi to the PATH station ($55 + toll + tip) and then the PATH to Jersey City... but at that hour there will likely be a fair amount of traffic and i think the Airtrain-->LIRR-->PATH is a better option, imo.
