RedLightning Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Saw all the nice deals going around for Downtown and tried a few bids, but wanted a convenient location for my girlfriend's flight the next day so decided to bid for a 4* around the airport area instead. Started at $45, got the "bid now for another $13" message so I knew I was already close, and with the large number of rebid zones available I just went up in $1 increments until my bid was accepted at $48. Ended up with the Mariott Toronto Airport. Seems to be an older property, but looks like it has just been renovated recently so I'm hoping it's nice. Can't complain about the price either way!Used the PRICELINE link, thanks! Now, time to try to find a hotel for Montreal from 6/18 to 6/20... Montreal is a lot less forthcoming on the deals than Toronto is - I bet it's the swine flu scare that's driving down Toronto hotel prices :)
thereuare Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you were able to take advantage of some of the great deals we've been seeing around Toronto. I don't know of any swine flu outbreaks in this area (not sure if you were joking or not as i haven't been keeping up with the news in this regard) but we've been seen very low rates in Toronto long before any talk of the flu... it think the ecomomy is the more likely culprit.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICLINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
