JRSmooth Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Try to following combination, used the "free-bid" zones, no luck so far:Preferred to be in "Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial District" but open to "Copley Square - Theatre District" or even "Revere - Logan Airport (BOS)".Bidding history:1. "Brighton - Brookline" + "Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial District" for $100, rejected.2. Started a new bid, added "Fenway Park", increased bid $5 for $105, rejected.3. Started a new bid, added "Medford", increased bid $5 for $110, rejected.4. Started a new bid, added "South Boston", increased bid $5 for $110, rejected.I am hesitate to 3.5*, but would consider that if I can't even find one in "Revere - Logan Airport (BOS)". I mean, for this price, I may just going to Hotwire and "almost know for sure" which hotel I will be staying in.Question, what's going on in Boston bewteen 6/4 - 6/7? I looked up the convention center schedule, don't seem to be any big event except the "IEEE" one, which don't start until 6/7. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
JRSmooth Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 Ended up booking the 4* Raddision Boston through Orbitz.com for $260 for two nights, 6/4 to 6/6, all tax and fees included, after a 10% coupon. Now I am going to try Priceline again for the 4/6 - 4/7 night, probably a 3.5*. Overall, I learned that sometimes going through Priceline or Hotwire does not necessary save money. Plus, my booking through Orbitz also comes with a $50 Restaurant.com gift certificate, essentially I am paying $210 for two nights in Boston, all inclusive. I will report back when I book my 4/6 - 4/7 hotel.
