Hotwire Hotel: 3* Boston (Quincy Market-Financial District) Holiday Inn Express

This will be our first time visiting Boston. We will be sightseeing and would like to get a hotel close to public transportation as well as near most of the major attractions.

We were interested in the 4* Hilton Financial District and tried the Priceline Quincy Market/FaneuilHall/Financial District at $100, but did not have any luck.

Any suggestions??? We would like to stay right around $100 and are open to location as long as it's a nicer hotel and good for sightseeing.

The Hilton Finincial is about a 5-10 minute walk from the T. Try bidding a 4* or 3.5* Copley Square. That will get you a handful of hotels that are extremely close to the Back Bay Orange Line T stop & the Copley Square Green Line T Stop.

At the moment $100 doesn't look like it's going to be enough in this zone, nor do i think you'll be successful in the Copley Square zone, but you could certainly try. Do you want to both of these zones at the 4* level? Any others zone(s) you'll consider?

We are open to suggestions for both level and zones. We would like to stay around $100, get the best hotel we can in an area conducive to sight seeing. We are interested in lower levels as long as they are in a good part of town.

You might as well begin by trying for what you really want, although i think current prices are beyond your budget.

At the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* Quincy Market and Copley...

Bid $75, if rejecetd add re-bid zone...

Bid $85, if rejecetd add re-bid zone...

Bid $90, if rejecetd add re-bid zone...

Bid $95, if rejecetd add re-bid zone...

Bid $100.

We ended up using the BetterBidding HOTWIRE link to get the Holiday Inn Express Boston Downtown for $152 per night. Quite a bit more than we had wanted, but we thought it was worth it to be downtown. The amenities listed - smoke free rooms, complimentary breakfast, fitness center, business center & high-speed internet access.

I had also tried PRICELINE using a bid of $125 for these dates using the Quincy Market, Copley Square & Waterfront areas, but did not have any luck.

Sorry to hear this ened up costing more than you originall intended to spend for this stay, but sometimes you hit some dates which are more expensive than others, and i'm sure the length of your stay probably didn't help either :)

As there is no "Downtown" zone in Boston, can you please clarify the zone and/or address of the Holiday Inn Express you received, as well as the star rating. You can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page. Was this the Holiday Inn Express at 280 Friend Street in the Quincy Market - Financial District zone?
