I used the link on this website to reach HOTWIRE.com and booked 4.5* hotel for $79 for 3 nights and 2 rooms. They added $63.40 charge as 'Tax recovery charges and fees'. Is this normal?

The "taxes and fees" include the hotel taxes as well as PRICELINE's booking fee (~$6/nite in this instance)... so you have six room nites which is $36 which leaves above $33 worth of taxes on a $474 room rate. I'm not sure of the taxes on rooms in Athens but the above seems to be reasonable/inline.

The dates are from Jun 15 to Jun 18th. I remember adding them to the subject. Looks like
