This was a tricky one.

Started with a bid of $65 (I saw someone got one of my nights for $65 in a 5* at the NH Barbizon), that was rejected but I was immediately allowed to increase my bid to $115.

Instead I tried my luck and added a zone (North, since there are no 5* hotels in Amsterdam North), for $80, rejected again.

Tried a third time with $100, for some reason it didn't catch the fact that I was rebidding the same stars and zones and it rejected me again but said I could try again if I raised my bid by $22. So I did and finally got the Krasnopolsky.

Still very satisfied with the price.

NH's own website is quoting 177 (euro!) for the room. so this is 45% less than that!
