AFTER I discovered the brand name, I did a search for reviews of this property and they were OVERWHELMINGLY negative.

It's true that the majority of people who feel strongly enough about something that it's worth their time to write a review would be people who had a bad experience. But I'm not in a happy disposition about the prospects of staying here. But I've already paid, so I guess I'm out of luck.

I'll write more after I've stayed there.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed in the results.

You could try calling HOTWIRE and showing them the reviews, but as this is the lowest star rating they use, there's really no where else for them to go with this property.

Can you please add a reply to this thread with the amenities shown before your purchase so we can add this information to the Hotwire Hotel List... you can still view this information by going to hotw.wire and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

Hotwire just sent me a note saying they have reviewed the Shreveport Travelodge and have lowered it's star-rating to just 1 star. As a result, they gave me a $62 "HotDollars" credit I can use on future travel.

Very cool that Hotwire takes these things so seriously. I didn't even ask them for a credit or a refund, although I did give it a bad review when they asked me to rate the hotel after my stay.

This hotel is now a ONE STAR property in Shreveport for Hotwire purposes. And Hotwire has not lost me forever as a customer. Good deal all around.
