MadFlyer Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 I really like this location in Madrid. This one has been a bit of a mystery for me as far as their Hotwire listing. While this hotel is totally renovated, they only have 5 suites. Per their Spanish website... "274 habitaciones totalmente renovadas incluyendo 5 suites" .. translates... 274 totally renovated rooms including 5 suites... I do not see how hotwire allows them to have that icon if the guest does not get a suite. While they list pool and internet and they charge for those, stating that it is a suite hotel is streching it a little.
thereuare Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Can you please add a reply to this thread with the price you paid per nite and also doublecheck to see if there was a SPA icon associated with this property in addition to the amenities you've listed above... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. I also realize that you would like to know if you will be receiving one of these suites during your stay at the hotel. I will be happy to provide you with more information on this matter. As mentioned in Hotwire's Terms of Use, room types are assigned by the hotel at the time of check-in, and are subject to availability. For this reason, we are unable to guarantee the type of room you will receive for your hotel booking. However, you may contact the hotel before arriving to inquire about room types that will be available during your stay. Our hotel partners will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible and meet your needs. Additionally, please be aware that specific room requests are based on availability and some hotels may impose charges when changing room types; this includes the number of beds in a room.As stated previously, I would recommend contacting the hotel directly to inquire about receiving a suite for your upcoming stay. To better I contact the hotel and they told me I have a Deluxe room booked if I wan't a suite I will have to Pay 150 euros.
thereuare Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I contact the hotel and they told me I have a Deluxe room booked if I wan't a suite I will have to Pay 150 euros.Contact HOTWIRE again, but word your email as follows:"I booked a hotel with a Suite icon but after contacting the hotel i'm told i'm in a Deluxe room and would need to pay for an upgraded to a Suite"Good luck. MadFlyer Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Good advice. I think if you read the Suite icon text it is vague enough that Hotwire could be confusing Spanish speakers to choose this icon if they just read the text... it says words like....
thereuare Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 MadFlyer,Please start a NEW TOPIC (or continue an existing thread, although i didn't see a current thread for your dates above) so we continue this thread for any developments in regard to the "suite situation" above and have an uninterupted thread to track your progress, and hopefully eventual win, for your own stay. MadFlyer Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Has there been any response from Hotwire on this SUITE issue in Madrid after a second complaint was sent?
