u90099009
Hi-I am a new user for hotwire and pricline bidding system. I wondered what's the reasonable price for 5 star hotel in Vegas on 5/23-5/24. I tried many times from $101 to $150 but can't get it through. Am I setting the payment way too low? I set this range because I saw a guy post a $125 bid success at that night in Wynn!Priceline Las Vegas WynnAnd I didn't see any other same day bidding record. Can anyone experienced give me some advices? Thanks a lot! :) Link to comment
mcpheejo
I had a similar experience. You might very well end up with the Trump if you bid in the Las Vegas Strip North vicinity and even to get that will probably cost you $160. The suites are extremely nice, but they will charge you +$15 per day resort fee, daily parking (if you rent a car), and $25 per day per person extra if your party has more than 2 people (although the suites sleep 4). You will have to walk down a not so good street to get to the strip, and there is no casino in the Trump. In all fairness, the suites are absolutely 5 star.Re: Las Vegas in general, at this point, it looks like they are holding out for higher prices for the holiday. Also, beware, many hotels are simply out of rooms with more than a single bed. Better get a backup regular reservation and then keep trying PRICELINE and checking out HOTWIRE every day. It is possible that if you can wait till the last minute, you might still end up with a good outcome. Cancellation for regular reservations is now about two days or 48 hours prior to check in.
