Priceline Hotel: 4* DC (Dupont Circle - Woodley Park) Omni Shoreham

Hello All,

I have been using priceline for a while and have had much success, but am having a tough time finding a 4* property in the less then $80 range in Georgetown/Downtown/and Dupont. I travel there several times a year a usually secure a 4* for $65 or less and end up with the Crown Plaza Downtown. I am also having trouble stiking even a 2 1/2 star on 10/8-10/9. Am I missing something? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks again, Clark

Regarding 10/15-10/17 and the Dupont area... the Omni is sold-out and the here is an example where the WESTIN required over $100.

Maybe you could add some of your prior winning bids to the board?

There's the MayDay for Marriage March on Friday, October 15th....and another group march (I don't remember who it is) Saturday, the 16th. I've heard the different groups are buying up rooms in bulk for the participants. I don't know if it's true but it is harder to find a hotel room for that weekend.

Glad to see you ultimately were successful. I'm assuming that you didn't start at $90 the nite of your acceptance... do you recall the previously rejected bid?
