alexanderrrr Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Congratulations, your price of $38.5 was accepted by Nh Geneva Airport.Day 1 $36.5 rejected in one bid zoneDay 2 $38.5 accepted Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$38.5 Taxes & Service Fees: US$30.31 Total charges US$134.31 + 50 USD Bonus cash from Twitter/Negotiator promotionUnfortunately, did not use the PRICELINE link from this site, as I could not figure how to combine the bonus cash offer with this link.If anybody managed to do it, please advise, as I have another account with the bonus cash and would be glad to support this forum.BTW, any luck with getting airline miles from NH hotels on priceline rates? I know that priceline rates are generally not eligible for miles, but I have stayed twice at another NH hotel in Geneva at some heavily discounted rate (but not from priceline) and managed to get my points on both occasions. And that was my first ever PRICELINE bid! :)
MadFlyer Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Welcome to Betterbidding. Congrats on success. Sounds like promo worked at they have around 9000 followers that will be trying to make bids. Hopefully, being tech savy many will find there way to better-bidding. Just returned from second priceline stay at property. This time for 2 nights. No luck getting them to post Airline FF or offer nights on their own frequent guest program, as it is credits based on revenue. You might have better luck if you speak French. They could not produce a blank copy of folio to 'prove I was here' even. A tip, they have converted one room on the 4th floor to a Sauna (gym) with free daily key access offered at desk... they also have window handles (yes that is right) at the desk.. my window was open the first night and thus awoke to air traffic earlier than planned.
alexanderrrr Posted May 11, 2009 Author Report Posted May 11, 2009 Madflyer, thanks a lot for your reply and your previous tips on the property.Did they charge you the city tax for your stays?
thereuare Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Not sure if it would work with this recent 'special' promotion PRICELINE had, but in the future if given a bonus money link (usually the $5 added to your bid amount) you can use our link and the bonus money as follows:1) click our PRICELINE link2) go to the MY PROFILE >> MY REWARDS section of their site using the link on the top right of their home page3) use the bonus money link in the MY REWARDS section of your profile (and not from any emails) to begin your biddingEnjoy your stay. MadFlyer Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 Madflyer, thanks a lot for your reply and your previous tips on the property.Did they charge you the city tax for your stays?Geneva NH did not charge me anything on both of my stays. I have one more stay coming up next week. I will report if any change.
jlambas Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Tried the same date (1/7/09 - 2/7/09) for $40 and was rejected today 28th may 2009.
MadFlyer Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Geneva NH did not charge me anything on both of my stays. I have one more stay coming up next week. I will report if any change.NH Geneva did not charge me anything again for my recent stay, while the Renaissance Zurich did charge me yet again.
alexanderrrr Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 Just to report: no extra charges/taxes during my stay AND was credited FF miles to LH M&M.I have tried to extend my stay about two weeks prior to my arrival and was rejected, so ended up staying at another place for a few days.Small tip: consider using the hotel shuttle for going downton/UN area - the public bus stop is not too close to the hotel, so transfering in front of the airport can be more convenient.
MadFlyer Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 I have not posted all my wins at this hotel this month but have the 7-8 July at $58 and then the 18-19 July at $53. Had to go up a bit from when I was booking in Feb-May. I only wish the shuttle would stop one time at the train station instead of just at the end of terminal to avoid the 10 minute walk back to catch train. They probably would if I asked, but have not tried yet.
