thereuare Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread (and don't double/triple post)The 4* above matches the Caribe Hilton, the 3* matches the Doubletree, and the 2.5* matches the Hotel Miramar, so that would be our best guess for each. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know which you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. waterd Posted May 17, 2009 Author Report Posted May 17, 2009 How can I know if the hotels that I book on HOTWIRE will charge me extra fees? Other that standard 9% tax rate for San Juan, PR. :)
thereuare Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 If you go to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to the offering, on the next page, on the bottom right is a "Know before you go" section. Usually, not always, any resort fees which would be paid directly to the hotel would listed there. However, as this is a fairly new feature and not fully rolled out througout their system, the 'safest' way is to correctly ID the property beforehand if you can and then determine if that property charges any additional fees. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. waterd Posted July 14, 2009 Author Report Posted July 14, 2009 I spent one night at the Double Tree in San Juan before moving to another hotel in Caugas. The Double Tree was a good clean hotel. The location maybe not the best for safety. A cock fight arena very close to the hotel. Parking was free and around the hotel. Staff spoke english and were very easy to work with.
