jimmybond
I will be in Chicago Oct 19 to 22. On Hotwire I see 4 Star, Boutique, Rest.,Fitness, Business in Mag Mile. Could this be the Allegro? I stayed there before and would like to stay somewhere different. I thought its location was in the Loop. If not Allegro then where could it be? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Assuming Expedia's map is correct, the Hotel Allegro is south of Lake St, which would put it in the Loop zone... but Priceline puts this in the NMA zoneHow would the 4* Customer Favorite for $87 in the NMA/Water Tower zone work for you... seems be most likely be the Omni Ambassador.Prices in the area don't seem too bad for these dates... maybe a try on Priceline?Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise further. jimmybond
The Omni seems to be too far north - I like to be within walking distance of the river area. By reading the reviews I dont think the Omni is where I want to stay. The other 4* seems to be the Palmer Hilton which does not appeal to me either. I was hoping to get the W, Drake, 71, Fitzpatricks, or one of the other 4.5* for less than $130. Unfortunately I live in Canada and Priceline do not cater to us Canadians. BTW I think this forum is really good - I just happened upon it yesterday. Feel free to pm me re Toronto hotels. It is frustrating that the same hotels come up all the time on Hotwire. thereuare
We prefer to not PM since it defeats the purpose of a message board... we prefer that we all share the info, so feel free to continue to this thread (even if it leads to a non-Priceline or non-Hotwire purchase). This may help though: PRICELINE TIPS for Canadians.
