wnej Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 Hello, My wife and I are planning a trip to Las Veags in a couple of weeks. We are hoping to stay on the strip at a 5* hotel, but would be willing to stay at a nice 4* on the strip as well. A nice pool is mandatory for my wife. The dates are 5/23 - 5/30. Is there any predicting what you may get through Priceline? What is a good starting bid for Priceline as well? Thanks for any advice.

thereuare Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. There is no way to target a specific property on PRICELINE. As well, note that there are hotels in the 'strip zones' which are a little off the strip, namely the Trump and the Westin... not sure if these would be acceptable to you or not.In regards to the HOTWIRE hotels you mention above...The 5* matches previous reports for the Venetian. However, this is not the 'main' amenity combination that it typically uses, so i would at least be prepared for the Wynn or Palazzo, but best guess is that this is the Venetian. The 4* near strip south property matches the South Point so that would be our best guess for that one. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. wnej Posted May 10, 2009 Author Report Posted May 10, 2009 If I Priceline a 5* South Strip, would you know what the possibilites would be? I am trying to avoid the Trump. I bid on the northstrip and was countered with a $128 a night offer from 5/23 - 5/30. The price sounds great but I am not sure I want to risk getting the Trump yet. Thanks.
thereuare Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 All hotels reported to the board would be found in the Priceline Hotel List. The only 5* hotel reported in this zone so far is the TheHotel at Mandalay Bay, but there could be others (the Bellagio??)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
