BayArea1227 Posted May 9, 2009 Author Report Posted May 9, 2009 One Tidbit about Santa Cruz, California Hotels If you want the Hilton in Santa Cruz, it is a 3 Star Hotel for some reason. I checked the 3 1/2 Star and the 3 Star average price and it was actually higher than the 4 Star average price. The 4 Star average price was about $189.00 and the 3 1/2 Star and 3 Star average price was about $229.00 or so. Therefore I was actually okay with staying at a 3 star hotel since the only 3 that I saw on Priceline were: Santa Cruz Dream Inn Toll House - A Larkspur Hotel Hilton Santa Cruz / Scotts Valley The ratings on these three were quite high, therefore whether it was a 4 star or a 3 star would not have really mattered. I'm still curious as to why the 3 star hotels were more expensive than the 4 star hotels.... probably the location... Anyways, I'm happy with the results!! Thank you again thereuare for the advice!!
