tiberius Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 This was my first time using PRICELINE and BB after my sister got me interested. I was looking for a 4* Hotel downtown, either in the Loop or NMA, for 5/15-5/18. Lowest prices I was seeing on Hotwire were around $180 over the past few days. My first bid was $120/night and unsuccessful. Second bid was $130/night and still unsuccessful, though PL noted that if I raised it $22 that I would have a hit. At $152/night I was able to get the Omni, one of the hotels I was hoping for! Thanks BB for pointing me in the right direction.

Glad to see you're happy with the results and received one of the hotels you were hoping for.For future bidding, note that you can often undercut the counter-offer (ie- PRICELINE suggesting you raise your bid by $22) if you have re-bid zones avaiable (Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) as discussed in this thread: Priceline Suggests Price to PayAny questions regarding the above feel free to ask and/or ask for help before bidding on your next hotel stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
