Hi,

I bid for several days for two rooms in a 4* hotel in the Logan airport area for June 6-7 and my offers had been rejected. I had used a PL $5/room coupon to add to my bid and consequently made offers that total ranging from $45 - $65 per night but they still did not accept. I eventually added the Waterfront Convention and the Quincy Financial District areas in my search. When I increased my bid to $65, and PL added the $5 coupon for a total bid of $70, my offer was accepted. Previous posts showed this hotel being "won" with $65 bids, so I wondered if the extra $5 coupon made a difference; however I do realize that prices can be date-sensitive as well. I checked Hotwire prior to making my bids and their cheapest 4* in the Logan area was going for $99.

Here are the details of what I was charged:

Offer per room per night: $65.00

Subtotal : $130.00

Taxes and Service Fees: $26.52

Total Charges: $154.52

Will try to report back on our stay. I understand that parking can be hassle and rather expensive at the hotel, so is there a way to not have to rent a car and see some of the sights if we are only staying in the Boston area for less than 24 hours? I read a post here from a lady who lives in Boston (Beth?? but can't seem to find her post now) who said there is an airport subway stop? I'd appreciate the input.

CongratulationS on your succcess!

There is a subway stop at the airport (the Silverline, iirc) which you can take into the city. As well, there is a Water Taxi which makes a few stops, one of whcih is Faneuil Hall, and it's a nice way to travel, but also expensive (i think it's $10/one way)

Once you're "downtown" it's easy to get aruond by foot or subway.

Hi,

We just returned from our trip and had a good experience at the Boston Hilton. Other than a brief mention of our stay already being prepaid, we were given our two rooms with two beds in each room (which was ideal for our family size).

Due to a short stay, we relied on the hotel's convenient shuttle service (leaves every 15 minutes) to take us to and from the airport and or train/subway station. I was not particularly impressed with the drivers but they have us where we needed to be and the rest of the hotel staff was helpful. I appreciate this site for the advise regarding our transportation needs. Also as someone else here mentioned, there was no problem with noise, considering its direct proximity to the airport.

Overall, I would not mind staying in this hotel again especially for short trips into and out of Boston.
