dvcgirl Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Hi, decided to try & use hotwire for travel this year, noob helpthru this site, 4* Seattle DT-Pike Place 1 night$119FitnessRestaurantBusiness CenterInternetdoes say 'lowest price guarantee' (whatever that means :) & 'best value'from reading other posts thinking either the Sheraton or Westin (as pool is under refurb?)
slick_gd Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I notice that HOTWIRE lists the tripadvisor traveler review for this hotel as 4/5 based on 320+ reviews. Going to tripadvisor directly, the only hotel that matches this rating is the Sheraton. That would be my best guess. If you plan on reserving, help support this site by using this HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
dvcgirl Posted May 7, 2009 Author Report Posted May 7, 2009 Ive been watching for a month, finally looked as though the Westin dropped under $100, my 1st HOTWIRE ever & it worked :) ...i did click thru link here:)Specifically booked for 2 adults & 2 children (even though i only will have 1 teen); hoping it ups my chances for 2 beds...time will tell i guess. Yet if 4 people were listed on the ressie, i'd like to think the hotel will accommodate bedding for 4? :) I tried for 3 adults & 1 child & rate jumped up $19 so i stood pat w/request for 2 adults & 2 kiddosanyway, amenties were listed as:Fitness CenterPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHi Speed Internet AccessTrip Advisor listed as 3.5 of 5 based upon 280+ reviews (matched up with what was listed here)Thanx betterbidding! if this goes smoothly u will be my 1st stop for all future hotel bookings.
thereuare Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and are happy with the results. If you included quad occupancy in your HOTWIRE search there will be enough sleepig accomodations for four people. The vast majority of the time this means two beds, and i suspect that is what you wil receive here, although it could (usually at a Staybridge Suites, Residence Inn, Candlewood Suites, etc) mean one bed and a pullout sofabed (or rollaway brought into the room)Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
