i went right up to $181us a night for Santa Monica name your price for June 5th to June 8th 2009 on Priceline on May 5th 1pm pacific time. They denied my price.

My friend for Fairmont says they will not except anything under $259 for the summer for their Fairmont in Santa Monica.

\

Hotwire has a deal $340Cdn taxes in.

i hope this helps anyone out there. I've been trying to get a 4 star for Santa Monica starting at $80, $93, $131, $155, and now $181us , the last bid i added Culvert city.

I won't go higher since i'am Canadian and our Canadian dollar is really down because of the over-evaluated American dollar that should be -400% to the world currencies.

also i was told that all 4 star hotels in Santa Monica hides its reservation system files from their own affiliation franchises. ask anyone who works for Fairmont Hotels, they cannot even get a family & friends rates.

anyone can tell me what is a good 3.5 star and bids that have been won for Santa Monica. I read many bad reviews about the Marriott and the Sheraton.

i got fed up with the 4 star for Santa Monica, which Priceline seems to think everyone is a joke to bid a 4 star under $250 for Santa Monica.

Decided to do 3.5 for the same area. it wouldn't accept my America PRICELINE EXPRESS Gold card??? I ended up using my mastercard. I got the Marriot in Del Rey just 3 miles south of Santa Monica. Ready the reviews of This hotel wasn't the best since many who booked should have never booked a 3.5 star since they had high expections for a 5 star and are on a BUdget.

If anyone B-i-t-c-hes about the Valet service fee, then they belong in that class. Just seems that the low class want everything for a dime and expect that they are a somebody.. Go Figure.

anyways, if you get passed those who cannot afford valet service,, you will truly read great reviews. That goes for alll hotels over 3.0 up 6.

I've stayed here before, its not that bad of a place, your wife and kids will love you for it. No Gansters, no low lives and no street bums like they have in Santa Monica beach where teh 5 stars are located. Movie stars frequent the club at this hotel called the Glow. They also have a Helipad for those who prefer to arrive or leave by Helicopter. Parking across teh street is $3 for 24hrs on the weekend and $6 a day during the week. The city owns the lot across teh street from the Marriot.

Many business and professional website that deals in making reservations for the corporate world rate this hotel under the Ritz quality of places to do business and conventions.

$105 a day i think i did ok, also PRICELINE will ask you if you want to add more days before or after you won the bid for teh same price.

For Santa Monica, go for it! Trust me, i checked million of reviews for others in teh area, if your not willing to dish out $350us a nite or more than this is the next best thing. once you've booked it than you can relax..lol

one more thing, if your new on Priceline and Bidding and really don't feel comfortable, I would suggest going with Hilton near Lax. That was my first reservation. You can get a top knotch place for under $99 a night and rated better than any 4 stars in teh area.
