klausy88 Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 I started with an $80 bid for a 4* hotel in the NMA section of Chicago for the weekend of Oct. 15 through 17. This bid was rejected so I added the River North area, and re-bid at $95. This bid was also rejected. I believe this is the weekend after the conventions, but maybe I'm a week off.I will probably try again in 72 hours, but until then, any suggestions? Thanks,Matt
thereuare Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 I wouldn't suggest raising your bid by $15, or adding a 'live' zone, when you have so many re-bids available in this area.... take more gradual steps. When bidding 4* in this area you have three re-bids available. Read this thread, PRICELINE REBIDDING EXPLAINED, and feel free to ask any questions that you may have (see if you can figure out your re-bid zones).Let us know your maximum bid amount and what zones are acceptable to you (is River North an option? what about the Loop?... i'm not saying this should be included, but since you included River North in your original bid let us know of other zones besides NMA are acceptable)We'll then be able to suggest a strategy for you to follow.
